Walt Disney Resort is an upcoming holiday and recreation resort to be opened to the public by Holiday 2013.
Theme park
Walt Disneyland Park is the version of Disneyland for this resort. The park will at first, feature five themed areas or "lands", and will follow the traditional 'wheel/spoke' design that was designed by Walt Disney for Disneyland Park in 1955. Later on, the park will expand with three new "lands", creating a total of eight themed lands.
Water park
Sunshine Beach is the first water park for the Walt Disney Resort. The water park has features influenced by Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and the closed River Country.
Other recreation
- Disney City - A large entertainment and shopping complex similar to Downtown Disney in Disneyland U.S.A. and Walt Disney World, and to Disney Village in Disneyland Paris.
- Imagination Lagoon - A large man-made recreational lake similar to Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre in Hong Kong Disneyland
Hotels
The resort complex features four hotels owned and operated by Disney with two hotels being Associative Hotels where it's not being owned or operated by Disney which in total makes six hotels in the complex.
