Snake Garden is a zoological park at Hilo, Hawaii homed to snakes worldwide. It is opened on June 12, 1965. It is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).

Incidents[]

  • On April 5, 2004, an eight year old blonde girl asked the animal trainer if she could hold a giant anaconda so she could get her photo taken by her mother. So as the trainer did handed a big snake to a young girl, an anaconda suddenly wrapped around the child and violently crush her with its strong coil. The animal control came in and tranquilized the snake which cause it uncoil the little girl, but a little already died from the snake's strong coil before she was released.
  • On September 25, 1989, a 40 year old man, who worked at Snake Garden, was rushed to the hospital after he was been bitten by a cobra.
  • On October 4, 2010, a young male performer who was doing some snake tricks got, went to the hospital for recovery after he was been coiled and attacked by a python during the show.
