Minecraft Experience is a 3-D simulator at Legoland Ontario.
Guests walk thoguh a large building.
Guests enter the main ride room. Riders are given a pair of Oculus Rift goggles and are brought to a semi-circle open hamster-ball-like thing. Riders walk on the device and play a 5-minute virtual game of Minecraft.
50 people can ride every 5 minutes. The ball-device rider's stand on allows guests to walk in any direction while letting the computer detect their movements. It is equiped with motion sensors to track the rider movement. If the rider swings their hand forward, they will see their Avatar's hand swing forward through the Oculus Rift. Unlike the home versions of the game, riders play thsi version of Minecraft with their body movements. The Oculus Rift virtual reality goggles show the images of the game to the riders while physical effects make it more realistic. If a rider walks forward on the treadmill, the Avatar will walk forward. Riders must make a chopping motion with their hands to destroy a block.
