Disneyland version (1992 canon), Texas Disneyland version (1992-2000 Fanon) and Disneytown Version

The show is located on the waters of the Rivers of America at Disneyland and on a stage across the waterway. A tavern and tall trees act as a backdrop for the show. To begin, lights around the Rivers of America fade and a female narrator introduces the show.

In the Disneyland & Texas Disneyland Version the narrator says "Welcome to Fantasmic! Tonight, our friend and host Mickey Mouse uses his vivid imagination to create magical imagery for all to enjoy. Nothing is more wonderful than the imagination, for in a moment, you can experience a beautiful fantasy or an exciting adventure. But beware, nothing is more powerful than the imagination, for it can also expand your greatest fears into an overwhelming nightmare. Are the powers of Mickey's incredible imagination strong enough and bright enough to withstand the evil forces that invade Mickey's dream? You are about to find out. For we now invite you to join Mickey, and experience Fantasmic!… a journey beyond your wildest imagination." while at Disneytown the narrator says: "Welcome to the world of Fantasmic! Tonight, Mickey Mouse uses his vivid imagination to create magical imagery for all to enjoy. Nothing is more wonderful than the imagination, for in a moment, you can experience a beautiful fantasy or an exciting adventure. But beware, nothing is more powerful than the imagination, for it can also expand your fears into nightmares. Are the powers of Mickey's incredible imagination strong enough and bright enough to withstand the evil forces that invade his dream? You are about to find out. For we now invite you to join Mickey, and experience a journey beyond your wildest imagination."

The show begins with Mickey in formal attire directing a water show on the river. The show's signature water projection screens are activated, onto which animation from the Sorcerer's Apprentice sequence from the film Fantasia. Musical scores from "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and the "Imagination" theme accompany the animation as Mickey conducts animated shooting stars pyrotechnics launched from the six pyrotechnic barges on the river.

The animation then blends with live performers interpreting different flowers.

The lighting and music change to a jungle beat, and a 100-foot-long (30 m) puppet of Kaa, the snake from The Jungle Book, makes its way across the island with beams of light firing from his eyes. Accompanying this scene are three floating barges carrying King Louie and black-lit monkeys across the river stage.

The music segues to a contemporary rendition of "Pink Elephants on Parade" from Dumbo, as animated pink elephants appear onscreen and in the form of performers on the island. The elephants then seem to be puppets dancing on strings, which serves to transition into a sequence based on Pinocchio. Three large puppets are manipulated by nine performers with fiber-optic "strings" stretching 30 feet above the puppets.

Onscreen animation shows Jiminy Cricket underwater searching for Pinocchio. An animated Monstro the Whale interacts with live splash effects on the river. The story line progresses as Mickey notices his dream becoming darker.

In Texas Disneyland version, onscreen animation shows the cannon shoots & the pirate says Peter Pan ahoy & Captain Hook saw Peter Pan to tells Mr. Smee for saying all hands on deck

[1][2]Peter Pan and Captain Hook sword fight aboard the Sailing Ship Columbia. A concussion cannon is fired from Sailing Ship Columbia, which portrays Captain Hook's pirate ship. Hook, Smee, Peter Pan, Wendy, and pirates participate in a stunt sequence as the ship makes its pass. Following the ship is an articulated crocodile barge, with the sound of a ticking clock emanating from its tail.

in the Texas Disneyland Version, Onscreen animation shows following the ship is an articulated crocodile barge, with the sound of a ticking clock emanating from its tail. The crocodile attacks Captain Hook whille Mr. Smee says i'll save you captain, & Captain Hook yells.

Snow White and her Prince, Ariel and Prince Eric, and Belle and the Beast appear on three floating stages (transformed since the Jungle scene earlier) on the river, dancing to a medley of each princess' signature song, accompanied by lighting and water effects.

In the Texas Disneyland Version, Onscreen animation shows Snow White's Castle

The show enters its villain segment, as the Evil Queen from Snow White appears on stage, calling for her magic mirror — which appears onscreen in animated form. The mirror informs the Queen that the three princesses are fairer than she, and that "in Mickey's imagination, beauty and love will always survive."

In anger, she moves to her cauldron, where the Queen transforms into the Hag from Snow White. The hag summons "forces of evil" to transform Mickey Mouse's dream into a "nightmare Fantasmic." Ursula, from The Little Mermaid sings and joins the plot against Mickey as her two pet eels, Flotsam and Jetsam, glide across the river.

In the Texas Disneyland Version, Flotsam and Jetsam joins the plot against Mickey

Onscreen, the face of Ursula transforms into Chernabog from Fantasia. Animation from the "Night on Bald Mountain" sequence from Fantasia accompanies Mussorgsky's score.

A pyrotechnic burst of flames announces Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty, beginning the climactic showdown sequence. Maleficent rises 30 feet from the stage and transforms into a dragon onscreen. The animation gives way to a 45-foot animatronic dragon, who rises from the stage before breathing fire onto the river, which utilizes fire-on-water effects.

Mickey appears as the Brave Little Tailor and uses a sword to destroy Maleficent's dragon form. As the dragon screams, the villains who have appeared are also destroyed onscreen, and the sequence ends with a pyrotechnic burst from the river.

In the Texas Disneyland version, Mickey says now it's time for your death, begone, onscreen animation shows Maleficent's dragon form screams, & Flotsam and Jetsam dies along with Ursula. & also Magic Mirror dies with Evil Queen/Hag.

Following an appearance by Tinker Bell, the Mark Twain Riverboat crosses the stage, piloted by a black and white Mickey Mouse, dressed in attire from Steamboat Willie. Approximately 50 Disney characters dance on the ship in a ribbon routine. The sequence is accompanied by searchlights, fountains, and pyrotechnic effects.

Then in a flash of light, Mickey appears on top of the tavern as Sorcerer Mickey, and "conducts" laser beams, fireworks, and other lighting effects that span the length of the river stage. With a flash, he disappears from atop the Tavern and re-appears center stage, resuming his formal attire. Mickey says to the audience, "Some imagination, huh?" and disappears in a flash. A final burst of pyrotechnics is accompanied by searchlights placed around the tavern and stage.

Disneyland version (2017 canon)

Fantasmic! transpires on the waters of the Rivers of America at Disneyland and on a stage across the waterway on Tom Sawyer Island.

The show begins with a faint musical note that swells into a lush fanfare, revealing Mickey Mouse onstage. Two Light towers come out from the ground where Mickey is transported into his dream. He then dances and orchestrates various water fountain, pyrotechnic, projection, laser, and lighting effects to the show's theme, until bringing up the mist screens, which fades into the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" sequence from Fantasia. From there, the falling stars of the scene bloom into flowers. Mickey then appears on the mist screens where he is standing in front of the sunset from the Lion King. The show then transitions into a jungle scene from The Jungle Book, featuring a 100-foot-long (30 m) puppet of Kaa and three floating barges carrying King Louie and black-lit monkeys across the river stage. Then the song transitions into Hakuna Matata. The music then segues into an dubsteprendition of "Pink Elephants on Parade" from Dumbo, as animated pink elephants appear onscreen and in the form of performers on the island. The scene then transitions to a "Friend Like Me" from Aladdin. Sorcerer Mickey watches Genie perform all his tricks. Then they go under the sea as they head into the world of The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. Then a Bubble floats and Jiminy Cricket appears onscreen underwater searching for Pinocchio. An animated Monstro appears suddenly, accompanied by a heavy musical score as he crashes through water. The sea morphs into the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" flood scene. As Mickey looks around in the dark and asks "What's going on?", a ship caught in a storm appears. Captain Barbosa appears on the mist screens as he answers Mickey's question.

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fantasmic_July_4.jpg ]A cannon is fired from Sailing Ship Columbia, portraying the Black Pearl from the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Jack SparrowElizabeth Swann, and other pirates participate in a stunt sequence. The scene ends with fountains that look like explosions and a cannon fired from the Sailing Ship Columbia. As the scene concludes, Mickey's sorcerer hat is painted on the mist screen and the hat turns to clouds as Aladdin and Jasmine are on a physical magic carpet flying through the clouds while a rendition of A Whole New World plays. Then the carpet fades away and three small barges arrive carrying Belle and the BeastAriel and Prince Eric and Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder, with the accompanying signature melody from each film—"Beauty and the Beast," "Part of Your World," and "I See the Light".

The music takes on an ominous tone as Mickey's dream takes a turn for the worse. The magic mirror comes up —which appears onscreen in animated form. Angered by Mickey's optimistic imagination, the mirror traps Mickey inside of the mirror and the old hag calls all the villains to partake in Mickey's nightmare which invokes a riled Ursula, (from The Little Mermaid) who ecstatically joins the Queen's plot to destroy Mickey. Ursula calls upon Chernabog(from Fantasia) who summons deceased spirits. He summons Maleficent (from Sleeping Beauty) who threatens Sorcerer Mickey, as she transforms herself into an enormous dragon. On stage, the 45-foot dragon sets the waters ablaze breathing fire onto the river. Mickey faces the dragon, claiming that he is in control of his imagination, and defeats the dragon, destroying the villains in the process.

Everything is silent, until Tinker Bell appears. Magical stars sparkle in the tavern as the Mark Twain Riverboat approaches. A spark of pyrotechnics ignite from The Mark Twain as all of Tom Sawyer's Island is lit up in rainbow colors, revealing black and white Mickey in Steamboat Willie attire. The vessel glides past the audience, carrying several dozens Disney characters as a celebratory atmosphere prevails. With another flash, Mickey appears atop the highest point of the tavern as the Sorcerer's Apprentice as he controls a final series of water, fireworks, laser and light orchestrations. Mickey disappears and reappears onstage in his tuxedo from the beginning of the show, bidding the audience farewell and disappears once again in a bright blast of fireworks.

Disney-MGM Studios version (canon)

As the lights fade, a female narrator gives a brief welcome and mentions of the powers of imagination. A very faint musical note is heard, swelling and growing into a dramatic chord in the complete darkness. Once the chord strikes, two tall columns rise on stage left and right, with roving spotlights, until finally Mickey appears centre stage. He conducts various water fountain effects, until bringing up the giant water-mist screens, which, in conjunction with a few flares, fade into the famous Sorcerer's Apprentice scene from Fantasia.

From there, the falling stars of the Sorcerer's Apprentice scene morph into flowers, and after a brief interlude, into a jungle scene. Elephants, giraffes, monkeys, birds, ostriches, rhinos, crocodiles, and cheetahs begin to herd in the mountain. Neon animals make noise and dance around on the island while Rafiki and monkeys do a dance on floats traveling across the water. Simba and Nala from The Lion King romp together. Next, a large Bubble Montage takes place, where scenes and characters from major classic animated Disney movies appear in floating bubbles. Scenes from The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Dumbo, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Alice in Wonderland, Hercules, Pinocchio, Aladdin, Mulan, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, Fantasia, Bambi, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid pop and float across the screen.

An animated Monstro next appears onscreen, accompanied by a heavy musical score as he crashes through the waters. The chaotic sea morphs into one of the opening scenes from Pocahontas, with the ship caught in a storm. The screens disappear, and the lights immediately darken.

A loud cannon blast erupts. Live characters re-enact battle scenes from the film, Pocahontas. Governor John Ratcliffe and his fellow Englishmen fight against the Native Americans, followed by John Smith. As John Smith climbs to the very top of the mountain, a Native American warrior moves to strike Smith when Pocahontas arrives; the water screens spring back up, and Grandmother Willow appears, with a quote from the movie; the lights dim on the battle, and the "Colors of the Wind" scene plays out on the screens. The show then moves into classic dancing scenes with Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip, Cinderella and Prince Charming, and Princess Jasmine and Aladdin.

Three small floats now arrive, with Belle and the Beast, Ariel and Prince Eric, and Snow White and her Prince each contained in their own float. As each float reaches the centre, the spotlight shines on it, with the accompanying signature melody from each movie — "Beauty and the Beast," "Part of Your World," and "Some Day My Prince Will Come", respectively.

The music takes on an ominous tone as Mickey's dream takes a turn for the worse. The Wicked Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on stage, calling for her magic mirror — which appears onscreen in animated form. The mirror informs the Queen that the three princesses are fairer than she, and that "in Mickey's imagination, beauty and love will always survive." Angered by this, she concocts a spell amidst pyrotechnics and other special effects, and turns herself into a hag. Upon being told by the Magic Mirror that she now has the power to control Mickey's mind, she invokes some of the most infamous Disney villains:

Jafar uses his magic to send Mickey to the Cave of Wonders. After escaping a wave of lava, Mickey encounters Jafar, who transforms into a giant black cobra appearing on both the stage and the mist screens. Seeing a magic lamp, Mickey rubs it, assuming it will help him. Unfortunately, Jafar is transformed into a genie and calls upon Hades (Hercules) and Chernabog (Fantasia) with the latter summoning the spirits from the dead.

[3][4]Steamboat Willie on stage, Mickey encounters Maleficent, who transforms into a 40-foot-tall fire-breathing dragon that sets the waters ablaze. Guests as far as halfway back in the theater can feel the heat from the fire. Mickey, now in his Brave Little Tailor outfit, manages to create a wall of water around the island, smothering the flames and defeating the dragon. He destroys the villains using the power of his imagination and his sword (similar to The Sword in the Stone). Maleficent also dies as the water splashes with a large firework bang. All is quiet, until Tinker Bell appears and flies to restore the mountain. Magical stars sparkle in the mountain as Steamboat Willie approaches. Then a spark of pyrotechnics ignite from the riverboat, revealing Mickey controlling the boat.

As it glides past the audience, various Disney characters appear aboard Steamboat Willie, dancing with golden streamers. A celebratory atmosphere prevails amid a flurry of fireworks. With another flash of pyrotechnics, Mickey appears atop the highest point of the mountain as the Sorcerers Apprentice as fireworks, fire, and water light up the stage. As the finale concludes, Mickey disappears from the top of the mountain with another spark of pyrotechnics, a small explosion in the main stage and simultaneously reappears in his shiny tuxedo suit. A small applause from the crowd and Mickey says, "Some imagination, huh? Ha ha!" Pyrotechnics shoot out of the main stage and barges on the moat, he vanishes one last time to the final notes of the music while a cone of lights and searchlights bright up the stage for a few seconds. All turns dark once again and the show has concluded.

Alternate show

The Florida version has a four minute-long substitute show, colloquially named Taste of Fantasmic!, that plays when inclement weather prohibits the presentation of the regular show.[7] The alternative show does not showcase any of the performers, floats, puppets or the mechanical dragon, due to the dangerous conditions that are posed to the performers because of the possibility of rain accumulating on the stage. Instead the ancillary show is a brief summation of the conventional show; including a fountain display synchronized to "Little April Showers", a sequence integrating the "Night on Bald Mountain" music, and a finale orchestrated with all of the usual pyrotechnics and musical fanfare from the original show's conclusion.[8][9]

Tokyo DisneySea version (canon)

The show begins with the tune of the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" as out of the stars, Sorcerer Mickey emerges on a tower of stars in a comet. The new theme song, "Imagination" plays as Mickey conducts the water fountains and images of different characters appear on the tower. The music shifts into the traditional Fantasmic! theme and weaves into "Sorcerer's Apprentice" as Mickey conducts the stars and sea and calls on the Magic Brooms. The waters rise and Ariel enters vocalizing "Part of Your World", as Crush and his seaturtle pack from Finding Nemo swim in the background. The dancing fish from Fantasia's "Nutcracker Suite" also appear as does Jiminy Cricket in his bubble, which pops and fills the scene with bubbles.

Mickey's eyes appear confused in the dark and the show enters as the show progresses into a jungle environment. While Tarzan and Jane Porter appear swinging on the projection tower, floats featuring giant inflatable versions of Baloo, King Louie, Pumbaa and a young Simba appear along with a floating Kaa. A medley of music from Tarzan, The Jungle Book, and The Lion King plays, eventually building up into the "Circle of Life" scene.

However, when Rafiki is about to hold up Simba, Stitch appears instead (similar to the "Inter-Stitch-als") and the music transitions into an electric guitar version of "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" with Stitch conducting the water while Angel pilots Stitch's red speeder shooting plasma blasts. Mickey appears again, accompanied by the show's theme song and "When You Wish Upon A Star" and sets the stage for an appearance by the Genie singing "Friend Like Me" as well as the scene of "A Whole New World". As Aladdin and Jasmine fly off, the music segues into Cinderella and a sequence based on the Disney Princesses.

After the Princess medley, Mickey encounters the Magic Mirror. Mickey asks the Magic Mirror if he's the greatest sorcerer of all and the Mirror tells him to look closer and deeper into the mirror. The Mirror and the Evil Queen then cast a spell trapping Mickey inside, allowing the villains to take control, each one appearing within the mirror. The Queen (now as the Old Hag) calls on the assistance of Ursula (singing "Poor Unfortunate Souls") and Chernabog (whose appearance is accompanied with a composition of "Night on Bald Mountain" and "Hellfire"). The Queen laughs at the power of Mickey's imagination and the last villain emerges from the mirror: Maleficent who shows the power of her imagination by turning into her dragon form. Mickey defeats Maleficent with his magic wand and the power of his imagination. He falls back into his sleeping body and with a wave of Tinker Bell's wand, the show moves into the finale, with a reprise of the song and many of the show's other characters appearing on the barges, including classic Mickey and company. The barges stop and Sorcerer Mickey reappears on the tower, clad in a glowing, white, fiber-optic reflecting robe to conduct the final pyrotechincs and fountains as the music builds. Mickey then remarks "Some Imagination, huh?" and disappears, with a few notes of the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" theme and the final fanfare. The tower takes on the appearance of the Sorcerer's Hat and the exit music plays.

Walt Disney Studios Paris version (fanon idea)

This version of Fantasmic! (also known as Fantasmique!) will be located in Production Courtyard (Hollywood Boulevard). at Walt Disney Studios Paris. It will have a new storyline, a different "Imagination" song, and scenes from Winnie the Pooh, 101 Dalmatians, Toy Story 3, and The Aristocats. There will be different choreography for Mickey and the performers for the show. It is revealed that most of the characters will speak French and English.

Plot

The lights are turned off. Music starts to play and spotlights then move around the stage. Fountains, fireworks, and fountain-fireworks appear. Soon, Mickey's five famous roles appear onscreen: Steamboat Willie, the conductor of "The Band Concert", the brave little tailor, a peasant from "Mickey and the Beanstalk", and lastly his sorcerer role where he leads the brooms. Mickey then appears on the stage and then conducts fountains and fireworks. After a while, he gives a welcome speech to the audience, conducts a few fountains, and shoots a pair of fireworks with his pointer fingers. Mickey then brings fireworks and fades into his famous sorcerer scene where he conducts the stars twinkling and shooting by. The magic changes into a crazy mixed-up disaster but suddenly disappears.

It soon fades into a jungle scene. Wild animals appear on the stage. Soon, four barges arrive with Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, and Simba, Terk and Tantor, Baloo, King Louie, and six monkeys. Next comes a scene of 101 Dalmatians, where Pongo, Perdita, and their 99 puppies run by and bark. Then comes the Aristocats, where Scat Cat plays his trumpet and sings "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat", while O'Malley, Duchess, their three kittens dance to the song. The next scene shows Winnie the Pooh being scared of Haffalumps and Woozles. Jiminy Cricket then now appears calling Pinocchio while Nemo swims by and Marlin calls him. Soon, a Toy Story scene appears. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and their gang appear as the four soldiers fly down with their parachutes. Woody and his friends converse about Andy who is heading for college. Woody wants him and his friends to stay with Andy, but then his friends cover themselves with the box and leave him. But then, Woody follows them on the way to Sunnyside where the new toys appear. Lotso and his allies welcome Woody and his friends. But Woody sadly leaves the place. Later on, Lotso and his allies brainwash Buzz, and then Buzz takes each toy inside each white plastic basket, and take the baskets on the shelf. But then, Woody comes back, sees Buzz, and tries to stop him and free his friends. But soon, his friends were able to get out and stop Buzz, but makes him speak Spanish. Jessie notices Buzz, and kisses him. Then, Woody and his friends change Buzz back to normal.

As the Toy Story scene ends, mist screens show romance scenes of Woody and Bo Peep, Buzz and Jessie, Rex and Trixie, Mr. Potato Head and Mrs. Potato Head, Ken and Barbie, Flik and Atta, Sulley and Boo, Mike and Celia, Nemo and Pearl, Marlin and Dory, WALL-E, and EVE, Lightning McQueen and Sally, Bob and Helen Parr, and Violet and Tony; then the last scenes show Remy and Emile being sad, and Dash sadly saying, "There's no love one for me...". Ten barges appear holding the top ten princesses and their princes. Each barge has a couple. The couples include Belle and the Beast, Ariel and Eric, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip, Jasmine and Aladdin, Mulan and Shang, Pocahontas and John Smith, Tiana and Naveen, Rapunzel and Prince Flynn and Snow White and her Prince. The songs in the medley include "Beauty and the Beast", "Part of Your World", "So This is Love", "Once Upon a Dream", "A Whole New World", "Reflection", "Colors of the Wind", "Almost There", "I See the Light", and "Someday My Prince Will Come", in ballroom style and respectively, and finally, ballroom music plays as the couples continue to waltz.

The princess medley ends. Mickey feels afraid what is going to happen to his dream next. Meanwhile, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, and Chip and Dale appear getting tied in ropes. The Evil Queen, Maleficent, Pete, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, Captain Hook, Cruella, and Gaston walk around them in a circle. Later, the Evil Queen asks the magic mirror who is the most powerful hero of all. The magic mirror pops up from the stage slowly and the face appears and tells her the right answer. The villains gets jealous of that, so she changes herself into a witch. Soon, the rest of the villains appear onscreen which are Scar, Ursula, Claude Frollo, Mother Gothel, Ronno, Shere Khan and Kaa, Captain Gantu, Sark, MCP, Theodora, Evanora, Lady Tremaine, Vidia, Hopper, Randall, Sid, Sykes, Syndrome, Governor Ratcliffe, Lotso (who has escaped the Toy Story dream), and Stromboli. Hades, last appearing onscreen, brings fire around the moat. Soon, Mickey shows up again. He is getting really scared. He moves to the left, but suddenly, three mist screens show a shadow scene of the Headless Horseman chasing Mickey. Mickey escapes from the horseman. He then encounters Prince John, the Sheriff of Nottingham and Clayton as Sir Hiss slithers by. Prince John, the Sheriff, and Clayton get Mickey as the stage grows dark. The Queen of Hearts appears shouting "Off with their heads!" while cutting her cards. Shan- Yu tries his best to destroy Donald and Goofy. Cruella tries to kill Minnie. Then Madam Mim changes into different animals to scare Daisy. Mist screens then show Amos Slade, Percival C. Maleficent, and Queen Narissa change into huge dragons. Pete grows bigger, King Candy turns into a Cy-Bug, Jafar changes into a genie, and Shan Yu, Cruella, Honest John, Gideon, and Chernabog remain the same. Shan-Yu fights Donald and Goofy, Cruella fights Minnie, Madam Mim scares Daisy, Honest John and Gideon try to catch Pluto, and the Big Bad Wolf continues to chase Chip and Dale. Mickey becomes brave. In order to defeat the villains, Mickey raises the fountains, pulls up the sword (from Sword in the Stone) and uses his power of his imagination. Pete, Maleficent, Queen Narissa, Madam Mim, Shan-Yu, Jafar, the Big Bad Wolf, King Candy, and Chernabog scream as the other villains, shown on mist screens, die in reverse order. Then, Chernabog, King Candy, Pete, Dr. Facilier, Shan-Yu, the Big Bad Wolf, Madam Mim, Hades, Jafar, Frollo, Scar, Captain Hook, Cruella, Ursula, and the Evil Queen die before Maleficent falls to her death. The fireworks then blast.

Everything is quiet. Tinkerbell and her fairy friends restore the place. The Blue Fairy helps them fix the place, Merlin helps them too with his magic spells, then Cinderella's Fairy Godmother says "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!" to start the celebration. Once the celebration starts, Mickey as Steamboat Willie drives the Molly Brown steamboat; and the characters appear there waving flags, the princesses and their friends wave their flags in the Mark Twain Steamboat, and even some characters appear on the island. The final barge shows Lilo, Stitch, Pleaky, and Jumba on a surfboard (they are also waving flags). After that, Mickey appears on top of the cliff as a sorcerer conducting fountains and fireworks, as the brooms carry their buckets climbing on the spiral ramp of the cliff. Then he changes into his regular Disney park outfit and exclaims, "Some imagination, huh? Haha! So long, everybody!". Mickey is gone in a zap; and fireworks blast and scatter around the stage. As the exit music plays, a bubble montage appears with all of the good characters (included in the show) as the rolling credits.

Disney Studios (Walt Disney World Canada) version

This version of Fantasmic! will be located in Hollyway at Disney Studios (Walt Disney World Canada). It will have a new storyline, a different "Imagination" song, and this will not be cloned to other versions.

Plot

the narrator says "Welcome to Fantasmic! For we now invite you to join Mickey, and experience Fantasmic!… a journey beyond your wildest imagination."

The show starts with happy music and fountains start to squirt, then Mickey's careers appear onscreen and after Mickey's sorcerer scene, until finally Mickey appears centre stage.

An animated Monstro the Whale interacts with live splash effects on the river. The story line progresses as Mickey notices his dream becoming darker.

Peter Pan and Captain Hook sword fight aboard the Sailing Ship Columbia.A concussion cannon is fired from Sailing Ship Columbia, which portrays Captain Hook's pirate ship. Hook, Smee, Peter Pan, Wendy, and pirates participate in a stunt sequence as the ship makes its pass. Onscreen Animation shows following the ship is an articulated crocodile barge, with the sound of a ticking clock emanating from its tail.

  • Ursula from The Little Mermaid
  • Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians
  • Scar from The Lion King
  • Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
  • Jafar from Aladdin

Jafar uses his magic to send Mickey to the Cave of Wonders. After escaping a wave of lava, Mickey encounters Jafar, who transforms into a giant black cobra appearing on both the stage and the mist screens. Seeing a magic lamp, Mickey rubs it, assuming it will help him. Unfortunately, Jafar is transformed into a genie and calls upon Hades (Hercules) and Chernabog (Fantasia) with the latter summoning the spirits from the dead.

A pyrotechnic burst of flames announces Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty, beginning the climactic showdown sequence. Maleficent rises 30 feet from the stage and transforms into a dragon onscreen whille the villans laughed. The animation gives way to a 45-foot animatronic dragon, who rises from the stage before breathing fire onto the river, which utilizes fire-on-water effects. Mickey was here dream to sets the waters ablaze. Guests as far as halfway back in the theater can feel the heat from the fire. Mickey, now in his Brave Little Tailor outfit, manages to create a wall of water around the mountain, smothering the flames and onscreen animation shows defeating the dragon and the villains using the power of his imagination and his sword (similar to The Sword in the Stone). Maleficent also dies as the large firework bang. All is quiet, Following an appearance by Tinker Bell and her fairy friends, Mickey as Steamboat Willie drives a huge riverboat across the stage. Lots of Disney characters appear waving flags and some appear on the stage where the hat is. The sequence is accompanied by searchlights, fountains, and pyrotechnic effects.

Then in a flash of light, Mickey appears on top of the big hat as Sorcerer Mickey, and "conducts" laser beams, fireworks, and other lighting effects that span the length of the river stage. He then dissolves into his formal attire onstage and says to the audience, "Some imagination, huh? Haha! See ya real soon!" and waves goodbye disappearing in a flash. A final burst of pyrotechnics is accompanied by searchlights placed around the tavern and stage.

Sydney Disneyland version (fanon)

This version includes a new storyline, new animation, and the Murphy Dragon being an different being, but still following Mickey in his world of imagination and battling the Murphy Dragon.

Plot

Original version

The show opens with a storybook opening being projected onto a water screen with Sorcerer's Apprentice music in the background. The pages shows an illustration of Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice, then the page magically flips. The pages then flip faster, faster, and faster until it turns into a moving cartoon of what is Mickey getting a magical wand which belonged to his master, Yen Sid. Mickey then casts powerful magic, then suddenly physically appears (as an actor) on the Sorcerer Tower (the stage for the show which is similar to the tower for Tokyo DisneySea). Mickey then conducts water, light, and fireworks to the new theme song "Dreams".

Mickey then accidently floats out of his dream, not knowing even knowing that his actual self is sleeping. He then sees the Magic Mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and asks for what he should do. The Magic Mirror says that he should go to eleven different dreams and get these objects from these dreams: an apple, a glass slipper, a spinning wheel, a conch shell, a rose, a genie's lamp, a compass, a sword, a frog, a golden magical flower, and a bow with arrows. So Mickey goes into these eleven dreams which belonged to Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida. As soon as he got all of the things he needed, he went back to the Magic Mirror. The Magic Mirror chuckled and gathered all the items and put them in a bag. The bag suddenly turned big and looked crowded. Then the Magic Mirror disentegrated and the mirror presented all of the villains from the following princess' own movies and more Disney stuff. They put a cast on Mickey and the villains switch places with Mickey being in the mirror. Mickey opens the crowded bag and it turns out that the items turned into Disney heroes, heroines, princes, and princesses. Now Mickey and the rest can never be awakened. Everybody tries to use their imagination to comfort themselfs, which then leads to clipshow-like scene set to Tokyo DisneySea's theme song for Fantasmic!, "Imagination".

Hours later in the mirror, the mirror suddenly breaks and everybody escapes. It turns out that Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Mickey's half-brother, and Yen Sid came to rescue them (by them sleeping). Now all Disney villains (led by Pete the Ghost of Christmas Future from Mickey's Christmas Carol and the Wizard from Mickey's 60th Birthday) found out and are in a very angry rage. All of the villains use their power to kill Mickey, but they all end in death and all of them die. But, the second before Maleficent dies, she transforms into a dragon. Mickey tries to kill the dragon, but he couldn't. So Oswald, Yen Sid, and the princesses use their powers to help Mickey kill the dragon with the power of believing. The dragon has been killed and the princesses and other good characters return to their own worlds, along with Oswald and Yen Sid. Mickey, however stays in his dream a little longer and starts imagining a celebration.

The celebration sets into the tune of the new ending song, "Believe". Then, it turns to "Dreams", then "Imagination", and finally the original Fantasmic! theme music. The celebration magically turns into the same storybook in the beginning and the cartoon shows Mickey putting back Yen Sid's wand with the pages turning more slowly and, more slowly, and more slowly, until it stands still showing a blank page. Then, Mickey is on the Sorcerer Tower remarking "Some Imagination, huh?" with a pen righting on the page. The storybook displayed on the water screen closes and it bursts into color, with water fountains and lights going in circles and fireworks coming out of Sorcerer Tower with the melody tune of Fantasmic! as the final music track. Then the show ends.

Fantillusion (alternate version)

A mist screen appears in the form of a mirror and music notes start showing on the mirror as music plays in the background. Mickey then slowly rises on Sorcerer Tower conducting the music and water and lights gently. Then he conducts with full power in tune with the theme song of this version of Fantillusion, "Illusions".

Mickey then conducts his wand to compose his own version of "Part of Your World", then "A Whole New World", "Colors of the Wind", and finally "I See the Light" which then the mirror illumates scenes from The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Pocahontas, and Tangled. But Mickey got bored with the gentle theme and tried to be more powerful with his conducting. So he conducted more serious scores until he noticed he went to far and he can not go back. He then illuminated Monstro, Chernabog, Lumpjaw, Willie the Giant, Pete the Ghost of Christmas Future, The Horned King, Judge Doom, the Firebird, Queen Narissa, The Smile-Away Reformatory School sergeant, the Backson, and the Cybugs which accidentally popped to life. Mickey used the powers of his wand to defeat Monstro, Chernabog, Lumpjaw, Willie the Giant, Pete the Ghost of Christmas Future, The Horned King, Judge Doom, the Firebird, Queen Narissa, The Smile-Away Reformatory School sergeant, the Backson, and the Cybugs which he accidentally turns them into an evil monstrous enemy from Hell. Once again using his wand, he used all of his might and strength to kill this monster. Out of nowhere, Oswald and Yen Sid appeared and helped Mickey kill a monstrous villain because they wanted to protect Mickey. The monster has died off into obscurity and the three rejoiced in happiness. Now, Mickey wanted to impress Oswald and Yen Sid to what he can do, but this time with just gentleness. He composed a new version of "Beauty and the Beast song" which illuminated scenes of the ballroom scene from Beauty and the Beast in the mirror. Oswald and Yen Sid were impressed, but they have to bid Mickey goodbye.

Later, Mickey wanted to try one last time to conduct and he conducted with balanced, but very great power to the tune of the original theme of Fantasmic! with water, colored lights, and fireworks. Mickey then remarks "That was some illusion, huh?" Then the show ends.
